The gimmick

What The Kin does

The one thing that defines this fight — read this before you draft your route.

A multi-enemy fight: a back-line Kin Priest that piles on Frail and Weak while front-line followers deal the bulk of the melee damage and buff their own Strength. It is a target-priority puzzle, not a damage check.

Game plan

How to beat The Kin

Ordered priorities for the fight. Tools shift by deck, but these beats hold across most archetypes.

  1. Decide your line up front: bursting the low-HP followers first removes most of the incoming damage and buys you breathing room.
  2. Alternatively, rush the Priest directly — many reports note that killing it ends the fight early, so a deck that can spike one big target can skip the followers entirely.
  3. Plan around the debuffs: Frail gutting your block and Weak gutting your damage both hurt most on the turns you most want a clean swing, so sequence your big plays before the debuff lands where you can.
  4. Multi-target damage and AoE shine here; single-target-only decks should pre-commit to a kill order so they never split damage and stall.

Class-specific tips

How each kit leans into this matchup. Open a class hub for full builds and card priorities.

Silent builds →

Silent thrives in multi-enemy fights — AoE and spreadable poison clear the followers while you whittle the Priest.

Necrobinder builds →

Necrobinder summons and AoE pressure let you contest multiple bodies at once instead of falling behind on tempo.
