The gimmick
What Knowledge Demon does
The one thing that defines this fight — read this before you draft your route.
A choice-based punisher: each time it would debuff you it instead makes you pick the lesser of two escalating downsides (take end-of-turn damage, draw fewer cards, cap your cards per turn, or permanently lose energy). The choices get harsher the longer the fight goes.
Game plan
How to beat Knowledge Demon
Ordered priorities for the fight. Tools shift by deck, but these beats hold across most archetypes.
- Race it: the cleanest answer is to kill it before the third, nastiest choice ever comes up.
- Pick the downside your deck cares about least — block-heavy decks can absorb the recurring damage option, while burst decks barely notice a per-turn card cap.
- Avoid the permanent energy loss if you can possibly help it; a smaller energy pool snowballs against you every remaining turn.
- Know your archetype before you walk in so the choice is instant — hesitating and picking inconsistently is how this fight beats you.

Class-specific tips
How each kit leans into this matchup. Open a class hub for full builds and card priorities.
Strong block generation lets Ironclad eat the end-of-turn damage option repeatedly and just keep swinging.
Orb-centric decks lean on a few high-value plays, so a per-turn card cap stings far less than it would a thin-card combo deck.
